About this Opportunity We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to gather, analyse, and document requirements, ensuring that enterprise application and technology projects align with the organisation's objectives. Based in Singapore and reporting to the General Manager – Digital Enablement, you will work closely with project teams and cross-functional user groups to translate business requirements into technical specifications and support the successful delivery of technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document business and functional requirements.
- Analyse business processes, workflows, and user needs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Define and prioritise requirements based on business value and feasibility.
- Create clear and detailed requirement documents, including user stories, use cases, process flows, and mock-ups.
- Ensure that requirements are well-documented, understood, and approved by stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into functional system specifications.
- Review and validate technical solutions to ensure they meet business needs and requirements.
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of project goals.
- Serve as a liaison between business users, development teams, vendors/partners, by translating business needs into technical terms.
- Assist in supporting SMEs in developing test scenarios and test cases to validate that IT solutions meet requirements.
- Assess the impact of proposed changes on business processes and stakeholders.
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
- Provide input for process improvements based on insights gained from business analysis activities.
- Ensuring that enterprise solutions comply with relevant regulations and standards, and that data is stored, presented, and handled securely in line within the company’s ISMS and IBMS governance requirements.
Qualifications and Experience - Bachelor in Computer Science (or equivalent IT related field)
- Certification in Project Management (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of best practices in data integration and automation.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to understand complex business processes and propose effective solutions.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Knowledge of database concepts, SQL queries, and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with system design principles and ability to understand technical architecture diagrams.
- Proficiency in creating various types of documentation including business requirements documents (BRD), functional requirements documents (FRD), use cases, user stories, etc.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
- Requirements gathering and documentation expertise, including the ability to create clear and comprehensive requirement artifacts.
