Join a successful and growing food manufacturing business where people are valued as much as performance. With a strong commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement, our client offers a supportive environment, structured training and real opportunities for career progression. Whether you're looking to build your skills or take the next step in your career, you'll be joining a business that invests in its people for the long term.
We're looking for someone who enjoys developing people, sharing knowledge and helping teams perform at their best.
You'll play a key role in training, coaching and supporting colleagues at every stage of the production process – from Goods In through to Despatch. Whether you're welcoming new starters, delivering practical on-the-job training or helping experienced operatives develop new skills, you'll be at the heart of building a capable, confident and compliant workforce.
This is a hands-on role where you'll spend time on the factory floor, working closely with Production, Technical and Health & Safety teams to ensure training is effective, engaging and supports the highest standards of quality, safety and operational performance.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering practical, hands-on training to operatives across all areas of the site.
- Supporting the onboarding of new starters and helping them settle quickly into the business.
- Acting as a mentor and coach, providing guidance and support throughout an employee's development journey.
- Signing off employees against company standards, customer requirements and operational procedures.
- Conducting regular job observations and refresher training to maintain standards and compliance.
- Maintaining training records, skills matrices and development plans for operational teams.
- Supporting job rotation programmes to help broaden skills and increase workforce flexibility.
- Creating, updating and improving training materials, work instructions and operational guides.
- Working closely with Production, Technical and Health & Safety teams to identify training needs and deliver development plans.
- Supporting the introduction of new equipment, processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promoting best practice in food safety, quality, health and safety, traceability and hygiene at all times.
What we're looking for
You'll have experience within a food manufacturing or production environment and enjoy helping others learn and develop.
We're particularly interested in people who can build strong relationships on the shop floor and confidently support colleagues at all levels.
You'll ideally bring:
- Experience delivering training, coaching or mentoring within a manufacturing, production or food environment.
- Good knowledge of food processing, packing and operational procedures.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to explain processes clearly and adapt your approach to different learning styles.
- A proactive approach to health and safety, quality and food safety standards.
- Good organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience maintaining training records, skills matrices or competency assessments.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
- Food Hygiene Level 3 qualification or similar (desirable).
Why join them?
This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact on people's development and help shape high-performing teams across the business. You'll work closely with operational leaders, play a key role in supporting new talent and help ensure our teams have the skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed.
If you're passionate about developing people and enjoy being part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
