Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Cable Jointers to join a growing power and utilities contractor delivering work across multiple electricity distribution networks.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of LV and HV network projects, supporting the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical infrastructure. The successful candidate will join an established team and benefit from ongoing training, additional authorisations and long-term career progression opportunities.
Whether you are currently operating at LV or already hold HV authorisations, there is a clear pathway for further development across multiple voltage levels and network operators.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out LV and HV cable jointing activities on electricity distribution networks.
- Install, maintain and repair underground cable systems.
- Undertake fault-finding and network repairs where required.
- Complete cable terminations, joints and associated electrical works.
- Work safely on operational electricity networks in accordance with company and industry procedures.
- Ensure all work is completed to required quality and technical standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to completed works.
- Liaise with supervisors, project teams and network representatives to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support junior operatives and contribute to a positive safety culture.

- Previous experience as a Cable Jointer.
- Experience working on electricity distribution networks.
- Understanding of LV and/or HV cable systems.
- Strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Flexible approach to travel and working locations.
Desirable Experience
- LV Mains authorisations.
- 11kV jointing experience.
- DNO, IDNO or ICP experience.
- HV jointing experience.
- Switching and linking experience.
- Multiple DNO authorisations.
- Utility and power infrastructure background.
