• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Town Planning, Geography, Spatial Planning or related field
• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience within permitting, environmental consulting, infrastructure development or renewable energy
• Strong experience managing permitting processes is essential
• Good understanding of South African environmental legislation and regulatory processes
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management ability
• Highly organised with strong follow-through and work ethic
• Valid driver’s licence
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Southern Africa
Advantageous Experience:
• Renewable energy project exposure (Solar PV, Wind, BESS, IPP projects)
• EIA / environmental authorisation processes
• Land use applications or spatial planning
• REIPPP exposure
• Experience engaging with municipalities and regulatory authorities
