Brief description of the position:
The position is responsible for Battery system testing on both vehicle and battery pack level to guarantee a mature verification on battery robustness and SW performance (core/BMS/TMM). A comprehensive competency on test method development and analytical thinking of test data and a deep understanding of battery requirements are required.
Key Tasks:
- Lead test arrangement and responsible for test specification to verify HVB core/BMS/TMM performance and HVB design robustness
- Lead test preparation/setup/configuration/trouble-shooting and execution, incl. SW (vehicle, battery pack) and HW (performance, safety, environmental test, etc.)
- Responsible test data analysis/evaluation and generation of test report
- create a complete overview of all findings and the underlying problems for both the test item and the test benches to support project release
- Create, track, reproduce, and verify issue tickets as necessary within the KPM/JIRA system
- Coordinate test resource (internally and externally) and responsible for equipment acceptance, maintenance and management, solving common faults during test
- Responsible for internal quality and the certification of external test benches to ensure maximum comparability of results
- Follow test lab regulation (safety, 5S, etc.) and support on lab management system establishment/optimization
- Continuous improvement on test method/process to contribute product competitiveness in China market
Qualification and skills required for the position:
- Bachelor's degree or above, master's degree is preferred, majored in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or automotive engineering other related fields.
- 3+ years working experience
- Professional experience in battery testing (HW and SW, system and vehicle)
- Skilled in validation and testing processes in automotive industry
- Familiar with battery development process and test standard (VW/GB/other regulation).
- Familiar with battery test, incl. HW test case/principle/set-up/, SW test case
- SW test communication protocols (e. g. CAN, LIN)
- tool chain CANoe, CANape, DiagRAD, tracing / log data analysis.
- SW test Bug-Tracking tool, KPM, JIRA etc.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks, explain complex technical problems
- Analytical thinking and problem solving competency
- Fluent English. Chinese and German are preferred.
