Legacy Mechanical, a Crete United Company is looking to hire a Senior Controls Technician/Project Manager in the Kennesaw, GA area. The Senior Controls Technician/Project Manager is responsible for field installation, system programming, and commissioning, while also being self-sufficient in managing and successfully completing projects throughout the full project lifecycle (estimating, selling, and managing Mechanical/Construction Projects). This role is intended to support both our current workload and our continued growth in the controls segment of the business. This position requires a self-motivated individual who is dependable and process oriented. The employee should have a high level of attention to detail, be accurate and consistent, and work well with others.
Qualifications, functions and purpose:
- Manage controls installation projects in a commercial environment
- Develop project scope, coordinate resources, and drive schedules
- Oversee job execution from kickoff through closeout
- Ensure quality, functionality, and customer satisfaction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable effectiveness in project negotiations, multi-site interfaces and commercial management of contracts
- PC skills with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, MS Projects and presentation software.
- Knowledge of estimating software programs a plus
- Manage the scheduling and forecasting of milestone billings
