DescriptionCore Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop, implement, and lead the company’s EHS strategy and annual objectives
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all EHS matters
- Partner with leadership to integrate safety and environmental priorities into business operations
- Build and maintain a strong, proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization
Health & Safety Program Management
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations
- Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and corrective action programs
- Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Track, analyze, and report safety KPIs (TRIR, near misses, etc.)
Manage programs including:
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Fall Protection
- Machine Guarding
- Emergency Response & Preparedness
- PPE Compliance
- Industrial Hygiene (noise, air quality, etc.)
Environmental Compliance & Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with EPA and state environmental regulations
- Maintain all required environmental permits and reporting
- Lead sustainability and environmental impact reduction initiatives
- Conduct environmental audits and inspections
- Manage environmental programs such as Air emissions compliance and storm water pollution program.
Training & Development
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees and leadership
- Ensure compliance with required certifications and recurring training
- Promote employee engagement through safety committees and awareness programs
Audit & Compliance
- Lead internal and external EHS audits and inspections
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, and GMP requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting systems
- Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and inspections
Operational Support
- Conduct regular facility audits, safety walks, and risk assessments
- Provide guidance on safe equipment operation and process improvements
- Collaborate with engineering and operations on safety design and process improvements
- Manage EHS-related budgets and capital improvement projects

- LOTO- Training, written procedures, periodic inspections

- Forklift and Airel Lift Training

QualificationsEducation and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field required
- 5–8+ years of progressive EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or food production
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state/local environmental regulations
- Experience with safety management systems and compliance auditing tools
- Experience in food manufacturing and GMP environments strongly preferred
- Experience with PowerPoint, Excel and auditor safety software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines.
