InnoTECH Staffing is looking to hire a Manager of Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) to lead initiatives that integrate safety and the environment into the way company works to ensure compliance with applicable safety/environmental regulations, promote safety engagement, identify, and safeguard against workplace hazards, and maintain an environment where safety is first and always.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement company-wide EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Manage environmental permitting activities, including preparation of permit applications, renewals, and coordination with relevant regulatory agencies.

Conduct facilities audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective action.

Oversee safety LMS system including training compliance and metrics.

Develop, implement, and evaluate safety programs and policies to reduce the risk of injury or illness in the workplace. Train employees in new safety procedures and best practices.

Investigate incidents and claims, determine root causes, and update procedures to prevent recurrence. Coordinate with insurers on coverage changes as needed.

Monitor metrics related to EHS performance and submit any required reports.

Oversee compliance with fire safety and OSHA regulations. Work across departments to ensure all company guidelines are followed.

Consult with architects and engineers to ensure that building designs are safe and compliant with current regulations.

Handle procurement of operational personal protective equipment (PPE), lab materials, and other site safety items as required.

Provide reports and information to the Leadership Team to help define and implement the company’s safety strategic and management systems.

Stay current on evolving EHS regulations and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Engineering, or related discipline. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Five or more years of safety-related experience, preferably in managing safety programs in a wastewater/gas operations environment.

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), preferred.

Working knowledge of federal and state EHS regulations.

Working knowledge of Wastewater treatment and/or biogas facilities, preferred.

Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM).

Proven track record of developing and implementing EHS programs.

Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, management, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Strong analytical and research skills.

Ability to use computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point).
Physical Requirements:

Must be available to travel between facilities as necessary.

Work is performed primarily in an office environment, which requires sitting, standing, and climbing stairs.
Location & Travel:

Based in headquarters in Salem, NH (within 1 minute of I-93), but will require travel to current facilities located in South Burlington, VT; Shelburne, VT; Middlebury, VT; St. Albans, VT; Minster, OH; and any future locations in the US.
Compensation & Benefits:

$100,000 to $125,000 depending on relevant experience
