Are you eager to make a difference in the green energy transition, working towards a fully carbon neutral, sustainable energy system? Do you enjoy working in a diverse and international team balancing many stakeholders?
Nordic RCC – supporting security of supply and the green energy transition
Nordic Regional Coordination Centre (RCC) provides critical services and insights to support the national Transmission System Operators (TSOs) in Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark — to ensure the efficient operation and use of the Nordic power system and high security of power supply at any time.
Based in Copenhagen, Nordic RCC is one of six RCCs in Europe, equally owned by the Nordic region's four electricity TSOs: Fingrid, Statnett, Svenska Kraftnät, and Energinet.
As European power systems integrate and evolve to meet climate goals, Nordic RCC provides regional coordination, integrated services, regional insights and recommendations to the Nordic TSOs and their control centres, to support cross-border operational security 24/7.
Join Nordic RCC, a fast-developing company determined to make a significant impact in the energy sector and to provide for a secure and efficient transition to the green, sustainable energy system.
Right now, we are looking for a Hansa Service Manager who likes to make a difference!
Job description:
As our Hansa Service Manager, you will have end‑to‑end responsibility for the Hansa service at Nordic RCC. You will ensure that the service is delivered in line with regulatory requirements, agreed timelines, and operational needs of the Nordic TSOs — from development through go‑live and into stable operations.
In addition to Hansa, the role may entail working with broader Nordic topics. Depending on the future development of the region and Nordic RCC’s service portfolio, the role is expected to develop over time, offering the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities.
You will work at the intersection of service management, delivery coordination, financial oversight, and stakeholder management, and act as the main point of contact for Hansa within Nordic RCC.
Responsibilities:
Your tasks will include:
- Acting as the overall service manager for Hansa, ensuring clear scope, priorities, and alignment with Nordic RCC service strategy and with Hansa future strategic direction.
- Ensuring readiness for go‑live and transition from project to stable service operations.
- Coordinating Hansa activities across Nordic RCC, Nordic and Hansa TSOs as well as external parties.
- Preparing and supporting steering committees, status meetings, and decision‑making forums. Providing clear and concise status reporting to management and stakeholders.
- Maintaining oversight of risks, dependencies, and delivery progress across Hansa phases.
- Maintaining overview of Hansa OPEX and CAPEX in close cooperation with finance and project colleagues.
- Coordinating change requests, prioritisation, and lifecycle management of the service.
- The role may also entail contributing to Nordic‑level coordination and topics beyond Hansa where relevant.
Requirements:
- Experience from the energy sector, preferably with European cooperation, regulation or system operations. Minimum 5 years’ experience but longer is strongly preferred.
- No specific requirement on educational background except minimum master’s degree.
- Strong coordination, prioritization and structuring skills.
- Ability to work independently, keep momentum across many parallel processes, and communicate clearly.
- Collaborative mindset and comfort working with many stakeholders and expert groups.
The role will require travel abroad (within Europe) at least on quarterly basis.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the listed requirements.
What we offer:
You will be joining a company of competent, diverse, and enthusiastic colleagues. We are currently 25 nationalities with over 30% women (striving to improve this balance) and all ages.
Your daily workplace will be in our newly furnished office premises in Copenhagen Towers, Ørestad. We offer workplace flexibility to ensure a healthy work-life balance, including the possibility to work from home some of the time.
Our values of fellowship, curiosity, respect, and transparency have been defined by all employees. They identify how we behave and shape the way we work together, and we expect you to see yourself in them.
The position is conditioned upon a satisfactory background check as well as a national security clearance, both of which will be facilitated by Nordic RCC. You can read more on security clearance here. Please also note, that the process includes that any spouse, registered partner, cohabitant, steady partner, co-resident, child over 18 living at home and parent with the same address as the candidate must also consent to be examined.
