As a Sustainability Project Manager, you will drive key sustainability initiatives that support our transition to a more sustainable organization. You will work closely with colleagues across all business domains, supporting sustainability integration through structured project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and clear communication.

Day to day:
In this role, you will support DLL’s transition toward an integrated and future‑ready sustainability capability. You will manage and support a portfolio of cross‑organizational projects that require specialized expertise, structured execution, and close alignment with commercial and operational domains.
Due to the transformational role of Group Sustainability, projects vary over time.
Key responsibilities are likely to include:
Build sustainability capabilities across DLL
- Collaborate with domain leaders and DLL’s Sustainability Network to identify knowledge gaps that are essential for commercial success and regulatory compliance.
- Lead the development of targeted sustainability training content for specific audiences within DLL.
- Work with Learning & Development on scalable delivery
Drive engagement across DLL’s Sustainability Embedded Team
- Create engaging sustainability progress updates and internal communications.
- Organize technical learning sessions and knowledge‑sharing moments across domains.
Co‑develop DLL’s Operational Emissions Strategy
- Support the review of targets and an actionable reduction roadmap for DLL’s operational emissions.
- Translate strategy into implementation plans for Facilities, Travel, and Procurement teams.
- Provide concise, executive-ready communication materials to support decision-making.
Manage Sustainability Commitments & External Ratings
- Research and assess the business case for sustainable commitments and external ratings in climate, biodiversity, and circularity frameworks.
- Oversee continuous improvement of DLL’s sustainability ratings and commitments.
- Ensure alignment with global sustainability standards and evolving expectations.
Other responsibilities could entail involvement in the organization of local initiatives, supporting projects of members of the Sustainability Embedded Team and those in Group Sustainability.

Essentials:
- Master’s degree in Sustainability, Business, Environmental Studies, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in sustainability, project management, communications, procurement, operations, or related roles.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Experience in sustainability‑related topics such as climate strategy, emissions reduction, ESG frameworks, or learning and development.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messages.
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable working cross‑functionally in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
Extras (considered an advantage):
- Experience with operations or corporate sustainability frameworks (e.g., climate, biodiversity, circularity).
- Experience in developing or facilitating trainings
- Experience with sustainability ratings or external commitments (e.g., SBTi, EcoVadis, CDP)
