ICCT is seeking a highly dedicated and motivated Communications Specialist to join our China communications team. In this role, you will contribute to ICCT’s outreach efforts for China programs and support capacity building among our strategic partners. This position is based in our Beijing office, reporting to the China Communications and Public Relations Manager.
You Will:
- Develop strategies and goals for communication platforms (e.g., WeChat, Chinese website), including content columns, topic series, interactive formats, update plans, layouts, etc., to create branded content.
- Plan and write high-quality WeChat articles and website landing pages, and create/manage a content update calendar for WeChat, capturing key events and activities in the clean transportation field.
- Translate/rewrite professional publications into easy-to-understand WeChat articles, ensuring accuracy and readability.
- Write various promotional materials, briefings, news releases, and prepare relevant written materials for meetings and events.
- Plan and implement crisis management strategies.
- Proofread and review Chinese and English content to ensure quality, fluency, and compliance with standards.
- Plan and implement outreach activities for various research projects, including but not limited to videos, infographics, article series, data visualizations, brochures, media events, and other outreach products.
- Develop project outreach guidelines.
- Plan and organize knowledge-sharing activities, including online and offline events.
- Write training materials and courseware, ensuring quality and practicality.
- Plan and organize relevant meetings or events based on project needs.
- Collect, organize, and evaluate data using professional tools and methods to accurately assess the impact and effectiveness of communication efforts and optimize subsequent communication strategies.
- Develop evaluation indicators based on activity goals, conduct comprehensive evaluations and analyses, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Maintain partnerships with various organizations and media outlets.
- Organize media activities, write media briefings, and regularly communicate with media contacts.
- Manage external cooperation projects, including monitoring project progress and ensuring successful project completion.
- Regularly communicate with the central communications team under the guidance of the Communications Manager to ensure brand and strategy consistency.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in journalism, public relations, environmental science, transportation engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of environmental science and expertise in pollution control and emission reduction in the transportation sector is required.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, with proven practical experience in communication planning and content production.
- Strong communication strategy planning skills, with the ability to independently plan and execute outreach activities.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, capable of capturing key messages accurately.
- Familiarity with various communication channels and media platforms, with the ability to expand media cooperation and evaluate outreach effectiveness.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with partners and work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from different cultures and backgrounds.
- Strong organizational abilities, with a proven ability to efficiently plan and execute various activities and projects.
- Proficiency in office software and strong data analysis skills.
- Ability to use English as a working language and excellent writing skills in Chinese, with the ability to translate from English to Chinese.
Our Benefits
