Your Impact as a Field Service Technician:
Energy Vault is looking for a Field Service Technician to maintain and ensure the successful operation of our Battery Energy Storages in the West Texas region. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance services to utility energy storage equipment. Applicants should be self-motivated team players with a positive attitude.
This role is first assigned to Energy Vault’s Cross Trail project in Snyder, Texas (Scurry County) for the first 6 months. After which time then assigned to the St. Gall project in Fort Stockton, Texas (Pecos County) while awaiting transition to the SOSA project near College Station, Texas (Madison County).

Your Mission:
- Perform scheduled preventative and unscheduled corrective maintenance activities on energy storage products to maintain warranty coverage and system availability for long-term servicing agreements.
- Troubleshoot and promptly respond to system faults and outages.
- Respond to corrective maintenance cases on energy storage products and update online case logs accurately. Conduct electrical testing and related diagnostics.
- Complete daily reports and maintain accurate records of all site work, fault resolutions, steps taken and replaced parts
- Write and execute HV Switching programs, issue HV Access permits, monitor permit controls and perform maintenance on HV assets.
- Adhere to site procedures, safety standards, local regulations and all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) best practices. Proactively enforce compliance to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Work closely with the Site Manager, Operations, Engineering Systems, and HSE teams. Support as requested.
- Provide deliverables required to comply with the terms of Long-Term Service Agreement contracts.
- Respond to customers’ concerns with the performance or functionality of the system.
- Have flexibility to provide support outside your home location, as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned per our growth and diversity across applications.
- Ensure that all company issued property are well-kept.
- Competent in monitoring faults, alarms and performance of generating units via SCADA, troubleshooting connectivity issues and network familiarity.
Your Background:Required
- 3+ years’ experience in applicable experience in large-scale Battery Energy Storage and Energy generation projects.
- Must be safety-conscious, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively on large-scale projects with strong safety standards and protocols.
- Electrical trades experience with troubleshooting power electronics and medium and high voltage controls (both AC/DC).
- Experience with servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting utility scale BESS projects is preferred, experience with large scale PV/Solar and Wind energy generation would be acceptable.
- Previous experience working with power/hand tools and electrical equipment in a commissioning and maintenance aspect.
- Current driver’s license with safe driving record.
- Experience and comfortable working with LV and MV equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Operates confidently with minimal supervision while building productive relationships across teams.
- Ability to navigate numerous computer applications and technology independently.
- Ability to work at great heights, work in extreme environments, perform prolonged periods of repetitious duties, lift at least 50lbs frequently.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in Energy Vault’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
- Energy Vault participates in E-Verify.
Preferred
- Certifications and/or previous training in renewable energy power inverters.
- Understanding of various programming languages and equipment networking.
- Willingness to travel domestically, up to 40%.
- Comfortable thriving in fast-paced, rapid growth environments.

The range, $37.00 to $50.48, reflects the target new hire hourlyrate for the position across all U.S. locations.
