Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Inside Sales Manager to execute and oversee sales objectives across their multi-layered business model. This role will be responsible for all aspects of sales to their renewable energy clientele, including selling solar PV systems, training packages, and franchise licenses. The ideal candidate will bring previous sales experience within a solar PV company and will offer a strong blend of strategy, sales ability, technical understanding, and commercial insight. This person will be expected to think strategically while also remaining hands-on in the day-to-day sales process, including inbound and outbound sales activity, managing customer expectations, providing feedback to leadership, and reporting on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive company sales with the goal of growing market presence and increasing revenue
- Manage sales activity nationwide with a focus on growing revenue and improving profit margins
- Collaborate with customers and strategic partners to develop innovative sales strategies and bring forward new opportunities
- Represent the company at trade shows and association meetings to expand the network and generate new business
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to colleagues and other members of the sales team
- Support the launch of new products and services in collaboration with project management, marketing, and product development teams
- Assess ROI on marketing initiatives, report on results in collaboration with the analytics team, and provide recommendations
- Take on special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Demonstrated sales experience within a solar PV company
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, business, administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record
- Experience leading a high-performance team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, networking, and influencing skills
- Ability to provide data-driven reports and performance insights
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to implement practical solutions
- Up-to-date knowledge of marketing and data analytics best practices
