Assist business units and other team members with world class analytics solving product development, manufacturing, quality, reliability and finance related issues with speed and agility. This position will assist with measuring performance, analyzing results, institutionalizing improvements and establishing control mechanisms for the business units. This position will apply established world class analytical tools for global consumption using and establishing best practices in consolidation and analysis of data that will be utilized in process and product improvement to meet corporate goals. Incumbent will drive a culture of change with statistically sound evidence validating the most effective solution paths minimizing bias.
- BS degree in a technical discipline with 2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing and/or research environment with related statistical analysis, data mining and technical leadership skills.
- MS degree in a technical discipline with 1 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing and/or research environment with related statistical analysis, data mining and technical leadership skills.
- PhD degree in a technical discipline with 1 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing and/or research environment with related statistical analysis, data mining and technical leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; as are interpersonal, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organizational follow-up skills, and the ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects/programs.
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, preferred
- Experience in Structured Problem Solving Method (such as DMAIC)
- Experience in setup and analysis of Design of Experiments
- Familiarity with applying Robust Engineering/Taguchi Methods
- Familiarity with world class analytical tools such as JMP, SAS, and Matlab.
- Strong familiarity with JMP & JMP Scripting language.
- Familiarity with SAS programming, Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner, Visual Analytics, Web Report Studio, and BI Dashboards
- Experience with Fab process flow knowledge, and a working knowledge of Process Control System (PCS), PCSA, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Advanced Process Control (APC), Excursion Protection (EP), and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
- Able to assist with the analyzing of large amounts of data and communicating the results in a concise manner
- Familiarity with principles and practice of Theory of Constraints, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Proven ability with computer language skills with experience in MS SQL server, MS Office including Visio, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Assist with hands-on implementation of statistical methods and related analytical tools to capitalize on improvement opportunities independently and without appreciable direction.
- Assist with the planning and execution of process experiments, analyse data and effectively communicate results.
- Discover entitlement opportunities utilizing data mining and analysis techniques.
- Apply advanced statistical principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems.
- Assist with standardization of JMP Scripts and/or SAS analytical tools in the delivery of the project results.
- Assist with process measurements and controls to monitor current processes.
- Support cross-functional project teams to achieve breakthrough process improvements using DMAIC process and advanced analytics to drive and sustain results.
- Assist the organization on Metric Development and standards thereof
- Remain current on the best-known statistical methodologies and bring in and develop within the organization new methodologies
- Facilitate and lead training in DOE, SAS, JMP, SPC, DMAIC, MSA, and Statistics
- Ability to interface cross functionally with development engineering and manufacturing engineering to support critical work process improvement initiatives.
- This position will report to the Manager- Analytics
- This position will not have direct reports.
- Domestic and International travel as required
