Engineering Lab Technician
We are currently seeking an Engineering Lab Technician. This position requires an experienced and energetic professional to assist a lab manager to actively participate in projects to support different engineering teams and labs.
The Role:
- 7+ years of experience on PCB soldering, jumper wiring and doing rework instructions
- Able to replace components down to 0201 size and QFN packages
- Able to use a range of power and hand tools in the assembly of ECUs, harnesses, test fixtures and racks
- Basic understanding of analog/digital circuits
- Ability to work with schematics, and PCB layouts, and troubleshoot down to component level
- Expertise using cadence allegro viewer and Microsoft windows programs
- Experience using oscilloscopes, power supplies and DMMs
- Able to diagnose connectivity faults, broken wire, or faulty connectors, and perform necessary repairs or rework
- Willing to travel to external test sites, work on car, able to bend and lift-up to 50 pounds.
- Effective communicator that uses teamwork to build relationships, embrace diversity and help achieve collective success
- Quality focused
Advantageous:
- Basic knowledge in High-Speed measurements/Setups
- JTAG programing
- Certifications is a plus
- Knowledge in infotainment devices for automotive industry
Education Requirements:
- Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or related field in addition to the experience.
