Critical Business Analysis has an immediate need for a contract Senior Electrical Estimator in the Metro Detroit area ( or willingness to relocate) with a minimum of 4 -5 years of experience in electrical construction estimating. Previous experience with substations, overhead/underground cable work, and large -scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind) is highly preferred. This is a contract position and work will be conducted on a hybrid model — Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday on -site with two days remote.

Estimator will work directly with project management, engineering, design, and supply chain teams across multiple concurrent projects.

Pay is commensurate with experience.

Duties & Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>
Develop ROM, budgetary, unit pricing, and definitive (detailed) estimates
<\/li>Review design documents and scope packages for completeness
<\/li>Validate quantities and challenge contractor/engineering estimates and bids for scope accuracy and pricing
<\/li>Review and assess change orders for scope and cost accuracy
<\/li>Develop estimate details by WBS to cost -load project schedules
<\/li>Perform risk analysis, benchmarking, value engineering, constructability review, and claim analysis
<\/li>Support project management teams across multiple clients in a matrixed structure
<\/li>Capture lessons learned and participate in after -action reviews to support continuous improvement
<\/li>Occasional travel to project sites to support contractor walkdowns

Home location within commutable distance to Metro Detroit is required<\/b>
<\/li>Minimum 4 -5 years of electrical construction estimating experience <\/b>
<\/li>High School/GED with 10+ years, Associate's with 8+ years, or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field with 4 -5 years<\/b>
<\/li>Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills<\/b>
<\/li>Experience with On -Screen Takeoff or comparable estimating software preferred<\/b>
<\/li>Experience with renewable energy projects (solar, wind) strongly preferred<\/b>
