We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about environmental protection, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will support environmental projects, assist with data collection and analysis, and help ensure adherence to environmental laws and standards.

This position will report to our office location in Omaha, NE.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting environmental site assessments, inspections, and audits
Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data (soil, water, air)
Support the preparation of technical reports, environmental impact assessments, and permit applications
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on environmental projects
Assist in designing and implementing remediation and pollution control systems
Maintain accurate project documentation and records
Participate in fieldwork, including sampling and monitoring activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with GIS or environmental modeling software is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel for fieldwork (30% to 60% depending on project), including on temporary assignments
Ability to work on Department of War and other government installations
Preferred Qualifications:
Internship or co-op experience in environmental engineering or related field
Knowledge of environmental permitting processes
Familiarity with data analysis tools or CAD software
Additional Qualifying Factors:
As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
