Position Overview:
We are seeking qualified and dedicated nursing professionals to join our team as a Community Health Nurse II. This role is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care in a variety of settings, including clinics, homes, schools, and community environments.
This position operates under moderate supervision and follows a standard work schedule. Candidates should be prepared to work in environments where they may encounter a range of health conditions and community-based challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience (One of the following):
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and
two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse
OR
- Associate degree in Nursing and
four (4) years of clinical nursing experience
Licensure:
- Must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland or a Multi-State Licensure Compact license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of nursing practices, procedures, and professional standards
- Knowledge of community health resources and services
- Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate community health programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Organizational and administrative capabilities
Additional Requirements
- Candidates may be required to successfully complete a criminal background check and/or fingerprinting
- Selected candidates must complete a six-month probationary period
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution (international degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency)
