PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
The Digital Fundraising Specialist leads the planning and execution of all digital fundraising efforts, with a focus on growing and engaging the Conservancy’s individual donor base.
This role is responsible for managing digital campaigns end-to-end, optimizing the online giving experience, and using data to strengthen acquisition, retention, and donor engagement across channels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Plan and execute all digital fundraising campaigns, including a signature spring campaign and year-end campaign
- Manage and optimize the online donation platform to improve conversion and donor experience
- Oversee email marketing strategy, including segmentation, testing, and performance tracking
- Support and execute digital direct response efforts across email, social, and other channels
- Drive list growth and audience engagement to expand the individual donor pipeline
- Manage data entry, integrity, and gift processing workflows within the CRM
- Partner with internal teams to evaluate and support transition to a future organization-wide CRM system
- Analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations to improve results over time
- Collaborate with communications and development staff to ensure consistent, donor-centered messaging
- Support reporting and dashboards related to digital fundraising performance
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- 3 – 5+ years of experience in digital fundraising, direct response, or nonprofit marketing
- Experience managing email platforms, online donation systems, and CRM tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent writing and communication skills, especially for donor-facing content
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with a focus on continuous improvement and results
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Chesapeake Conservancy is an equal opportunity employer. Salary and benefits are commensurate with the candidate’s relevant professional experience and/or education with an expected salary range between $70,000.00 – 90,000.00 annually.
