Pinchin is seeking an Environmental Microbiologist to join our Microbiology Lab in Mississauga, ON. This role is being hired to fill an existing position and reports directly to the Laboratory Manager.
Role Overview
You’ll work in a fastâpaced environmental laboratory, supporting daily operations through sample handling, preparation, and testing activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient lab workflows, supporting analysts, and ensuring equipment and materials are ready for use.
Your Role and Action
- Prepare and analyze environmental samples for fungi and bacteria
- Prepare and review laboratory reports
- Maintain and enhance quality control in an accredited laboratory environment
What You’ll Bring to Pinchin

- Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or Microbiology; Master’s degree in Microbiology would be preferred
- Work experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably in analyzing samples for environmental fungi and Legionella by microscopy, culturing and PCR
- Familiar with GMPs, SOPs and LIMS
- Knowledge of French is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access & Outlook)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work outside of core business hours including some weekends
