Position: Canvassing & Field Marketing Manager

Status: Full-time, 40 hours, 9:00am-5:00pm (some evenings/weekends will be required) Exempt
About the Position
Brooklyn SolarWorks is seeking a Canvassing & Field Marketing Manager to build and lead our field marketing program and core capabilities. This role is responsible for crafting and executing a field strategy that educates homeowners about solar, generates high-quality leads, and books appointments for our in-house sales team.
You’ll own the program end-to-end: defining the strategy, building the tools and materials, selecting software, and recruiting, training, and managing a team of canvassers who represent Brooklyn SolarWorks in neighborhoods across NYC. You’ll start the role as an individual contributor, generating solar leads and crafting the door-to-door strategy, and will then grow into managing your own team. The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive; this role is accountable for the full scope of the team’s function, including safety, strategy, execution, and leadership, ensuring alignment with business operations and organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute an effective field canvassing strategy to generate qualified solar leads.
- Build relationships with local businesses and community partners to generate solar educational and lead generation programming.
- Manage and coach a team of canvassers and an event coordinator to expand the impact of the field marketing capabilities.
- Create and maintain all canvassing and field marketing materials including scripts, printed collateral, gear, and budget .
- Research, recommend, and implement canvassing and lead-tracking software.
- Establish clear processes for lead capture, analysis, data accuracy, and follow-ups.
- Act as a steward of the brand in the neighborhoods we serve.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of canvassing or door-to-door sales experience.
- 3+ years of team management experience (lead, motivate and develop).
- Experience with lead tracking software, CRM programs, and Google Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Required to walk, climb stairs, and stand for long periods of time.
- Comfortable working outdoors and managing physically demanding field works such as operating in weather conditions.
- Valid NY Drivers License with a clean record.
- Bonus : Solar or renewable energy experience.
Benefits/Compensation:
- $75,000 - $85,000 + commission.
