Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Environmental team, based in Kingston Ontario.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Preparing technical reports
- Overseeing the planning and execution of Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), Excess soils Projects (O.reg 406/19), remediation projects, and related environmental studies
- Designing remediation programs and excess soils management plans
- Budget tracking, cost control and invoicing;
- Vetting invoices received from vendors
- Preparing proposals
- Reviewing technical work of other staff;
- Conducting field work (approximately 30% field work and 70% office work)
- Evaluating data and proposing solutions
- Liaising with contractors and clients
- Coordinating and conducting environmental field programs, as needed
- Maintaining excellent client relationships in various industries
- Training and mentoring junior staff
What your experience looks like
- As Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in environmental assessment and remediation;
- Experience as a Project Manager is an asset.
- Licensure or potential for licensure in Ontario through PEO as a P.Eng or licensure thought PGO as a P.GEO is Required.
- Established as a QP for environmental work
- Experience conducting Phase I and II ESAs, remediation programs, and/or hydrogeology.
- Expertise in Excess soils management (O.Reg 406/19),
- Experience in environmental assessment and remediation techniques, budget management, report preparation, and client relationship management;
- Project execution timely, on-budget, well organized and client focused;
- Understanding of the applicable provincial and federal legislation and guidance documents
- A motivated, self starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills as well as attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilities.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.
- Must be comfortable in the field on construction/environmental project sites.

The salary range for this role is between $72K to $122K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
