Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Responsibility:

Ensure costs are captured;
Ensure unprocessed costs are accrued;
Ensure monthly inventory department expenditure is maintained within budget;
Explain variance of budget versus actual;
Ensure cost overruns are investigated;

Operational:

Replenishment:

Ensures that stock replenishment is completed before commencement of picking;
Ensure replenishment is in line with stock rotation;

Put Away:

Ensure inventory is correctly labelled before put away:

Inventory Control:

Recalls - assists in the management of the recall process;
Transaction posting;
Daily stock accuracy;
Non-conforming product management;
Ensure supplier returns are managed effectively;
Ensure daily check of expiry dates on all stock items;
Manage letters of variance;
Inter DC Transactions;
Export transactions;
Ensure the accurate reconciliation of consignment stock from suppliers;
Ensure the development of monthly stock count plan;
Ensure stock variances are investigated and resolved within 48 hours;

People Management:

Ensure that all staff maintains DQSP certification;
Ensure succession plan in place for career level;
Manage a stable HR climate in the workplace;
Conduct regular performance appraisals;
Coach and support team members;

Customer:

Ensure inventory is run efficiently and effectively;
Ensure all external stakeholders are serviced as required;

Process Compliance:

Pass all internal and external quality audits;
Audit gaps are closed within prescribed due dates;

Asset Management:

Facility and equipment maintenance;
Assets are well maintained, clean and good working order;
Ensure equipment maintenance is planned and executed;

Reporting:

Provide daily and weekly reports;
Ensure all reporting documents are accurate;
Ensure reporting deadlines are met;
Ensure monthly financial reporting is submitted;

Risk Management:

Ensure all operational risk matters are address;
Ensure inventory compliance;
Ensure the mitigation of all financial risk i.e. stock losses, stock damages, and negligible damage to facility, monthly cost management.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Grade 12, with Relevant Tertiary Degree, in Supply Chain Management or similar;
7 Years’ experience required as Inventory Manager within Warehousing and Distribution Industry, QSR and FMCG;
10 Years Warehousing / Distribution;
5 Years Stock Management Experience;
5 Years People Management Experience.

Package & Remuneration

R60 000.00 TO R65 000.00 tctc
