As a Senior Environmental Scientist, you will be responsible for responsible for leading and managing the large‑scale marine Environmental Monitoring and Management Plan (EMMP) project as Senior Environmental Scientist and Project Manager, ensuring full coordination, oversight, and successful delivery of all EMMP activities in alignment with detailed tender specifications and regulatory requirements.
To succeed in this role, you should have experience in marine and coastal environmental science, with a strong track record managing complex environmental monitoring programmes involving multiple contractors, laboratories, and diverse stakeholder groups. Experience leading a full‑time, Singapore‑based project team and ensuring all EMMP components are delivered to required programme schedules, quality standards, and response timelines.

What you’ll do
We are looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist to join our team in Singapore.
The role responsibilities include:
- Act as Project Manager for EMMP projects, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including field, reporting, modelling, and data management staff.
- Manage client and stakeholder interfaces, including participation in meetings and technical discussions.
- Oversee environmental monitoring programmes and ensure findings are appropriately assessed, interpreted, and reported.
- Review contractors’ activities and advise on environmental controls and mitigation measures where required.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of EMMP reports and deliverables.
- Maintain quality assurance and compliance with approved methodologies and regulatory requirements.
What you’ll have
- Degree in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Ecology, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional experience in marine and/or coastal EMMP and EIA projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing at least one marine EMMP project in a Project Manager or lead role.
- Strong understanding of marine environmental processes and monitoring approaches.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain clearance to work in secure areas in Singapore, where required.
- Familiarity with environmental data analysis tools or GIS (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS).
