We’re seeking an experienced Renewables and Storage Leader to join our Power Generation team within Queensland Energy. You’ll play a key role in shaping, developing and delivering utility-scale renewables generation and storage projects across Australia and beyond, supported by a diverse, collaborative and forward-thinking team.

What you’ll do
- Lead the development and delivery of utility-scale BESS and power generation projects
- Deliver scoping, concept and feasibility studies across battery and generation assets
- Lead or contribute to EPC/IPP procurement processes, including functional specifications, tender evaluations and negotiations
- Provide trusted advisory services for the renewable’s generation and storage markets, project strategies and technical solutions
- Support projects through detailed design, owner’s engineer, lender’s engineer and O&M phases
- Undertake lender due diligence and technical risk assessments for renewables generation and storage projects
- Develop strong business cases by integrating technical, commercial and market insights
- Build trusted client relationships, support business development and prepare proposals
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Aurecon including engineering, advisory, commercial, and delivery teams, across all generation and storage technologies
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years’ experience in the power industry, consulting, storage or energy project development
- Strong understanding of the full project development lifecycle, from approvals and grid connection through to construction and operations
- Solid knowledge of electrical infrastructure,
- Understanding of current and emerging services provided by large-scale batteries and generation technologies, in a transitioning energy market
- Proven ability to solve complex problems, think strategically and deliver value-focused outcomes
- Strong analytical, commercial and stakeholder engagement skills
- Relevant engineering qualification (electrical preferred) with RPEQ registration or eligibility
- A collaborative, curious and innovative mindset aligned with Aurecon’s values
