How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team:
The Intern, Development & Engineering Services (Visual Media and Communications) will support staff in Watershed Planning and Ecosystem Science (WPES) and Communications, Marketing and Events (CME) by capturing visual media content and assisting in the preparation of communications.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist with capturing and editing visual media (photo and video) content.
Assist in the preparation and organization of audiovisual equipment.
Research, plan, and produce short-form videos and reels for social media and web platforms
Write communications that promote TRCA work through our newsletter and social media platforms.
Incumbents may also be assigned other duties
What will you need to succeed:
Education (degree/diploma/certifications/licenses)
Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a post-secondary program in Digital Media, Marketing or Communications. A background in Resource Management, Urban Geography, Biology and/or Ecology is an asset but not required.
Valid Ontario Class G2 driver’s license.
Photography and video recording and editing skills.
Experience with social media content creation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team player with experience working in a group environment.
Ability to comprehend written documentation and procedural guidelines.
Sound time management and organization skills.
Proficiency in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, WebEx, and SharePoint.
