The Nitty Gritty
We are seeking a motivated Environmental Officer to support environmental monitoring, data analysis, reporting, and compliance across site operations. The role includes assisting with rehabilitation projects, coordinating environmental activities, supervising contractors, supporting incident investigations, delivering training, and ensuring adherence to statutory and corporate requirements.
This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive professional committed to environmental performance, risk reduction, and maintaining strong health and safety standards.
What you Bring:
- Conduct monitoring, data collection, data input and reporting as required.
- Provide statistical analysis of environmental data
- Assist with the planning, coordination and supervision of site revegetation and rehabilitation as required.
- Assist with the management of environmental research projects.
- Assist with ongoing improvements to the Environmental Management Plan, Environmental Management System and other Statutory Documents.
- Meet and comply with the environmental policies and procedures as well as applicable corporate policies and procedures
- Coordination of environment related projects and operational activities, working closely with mine technical/ operations teams and external consultants.
- Assist where required with any environmental incident investigation and follow up corrective actions with the respective department manager.
- Deliver environment training and awareness programs to mine site personnel.
- Supervise on site activities of environmental consultants and contractors
- Collate data for supply of information to regulators and other bodies as required
- Minimise company risk exposure and liabilities by monitoring activities to ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and licensing requirements.
- Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Tritton.

The Company
Tritton Operations
Tritton Copper Operations is a long-life copper mine located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales. Commencing production in 2005, Tritton is 100% owned and operated by Aeris Resources and forms the cornerstone of our copper production.
Tritton mines from multiple sources and as we look to bring more mines into production, we are are transitioning to a ‘hub-and-spoke’ model where ore is transported to our centralised mill for processing.
