We are seeking a Senior Project Manager that will be responsible for leading and overseeing Australia wide operations to ensure the successful delivery of projects, maintaining operational excellence and the highest safety standards. This role bridges the domains of operational resource management, project management, and project engineering, requiring deep transmission construction and operational expertise. This role is essential as we scale operations and enhance our impact in the renewable energy sector in Australia. As the first dedicated Project Manager in the Australian business, you will have the opportunity to play a foundational role in the region's success by supporting the maturing of Infravision’s delivery function as we scale to multiple concurrent delivery projects across different states.

What you’ll do
As the Senior Project Managerr within the Australian business, you will report to the Australian General Manager, and will oversee the full spectrum of operational related responsibilities to ensure delivery projects are progressed on time, within scope and on budget. Your responsibilities will include:
Resource and Operational Management Leadership
- Responsible for the management of operational delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects, ensuring alignment with Infravision’s delivery excellence framework
- Monitor project progress, milestones, and budgets, providing regular updates to the General Manager and stakeholders
- Manage and allocate resources effectively, including onboarding, certifications, licenses, and training for team members
- Develop and optimise operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and maintain high-quality and safety standards
Project Management Responsibilities
- Create and maintain project schedules, timelines, and milestones aligned with project goals and objectives
- Track project tasks, deliverables, and financials to ensure timely and on-budget delivery
- Prepare financial reports (as required), including tracking actuals, forecasts, and variances against budgets.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, such as reports and Steering Committee packs
- Manage stakeholder communications and ensure alignment with developer and principal contractor expectations
- Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating critical issues when necessary
Business Development Support Responsibilities
- Support project proposal development with the Business Development Lead, including technical estimations and solution/method designs
- Collaborate with engineers and construction managers to ensure seamless integration of technical and operational requirements
- Provide technical expertise to align project deliverables with Infravision’s service offerings.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams, facilitating clear communication and efficient workflow
- Mentor and guide operational and project team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and lead post-project lessons-learned sessions to identify areas for enhancement
Risk and Quality Management
- Proactively identify and address operational and project risks, implementing mitigation strategies where needed.
- Review and validate project deliverables for compliance with quality standards and customer expectations
- Ensure adherence to Infravision’s project standards, procedures, and delivery excellence framework.
Given the dynamic nature of Infravision’s scale up, these responsibilities may shift as dedicated roles come into the business (i.e dedicated Project Manager’s). You will be involved in the decision making process and will be consulted before any changes to your responsibilities are implemented.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 8+ years experience in Transmission construction in roles ranging from Operations Management, Project Management, Construction Manager and Project Engineer role related to transmission construction
- Specific stringing focus during transmission construction experience
- Proficiency in project management
- Strong experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with proven ability to work and negotiate with several stakeholders including regulators and customers.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear and concise information exchange among cross-functional teams.
