DescriptionKey responsibilities/exposures:
- Assisting in maritime security planning and coordination for PETRONAS offshore and nearshore assets
- Preparing briefing materials, reports, presentations and meeting minutes related to operations security matters
- Conduct basic research and data analysis on operations security threats, security incidents and regional operations developments
- Assist in coordination with internal stakeholders and external agencies
- Support the team during meetings, engagement sessions, site visits, exercises or drills
- Assist in maintaining records, databases, and documentation related to security operations and projects
Other tasks related to oGroup Security operations may be assigned by the supervisor.
By the end of the internship, the intern will understand corporate maritime security governance within a multinational energy company, gain exposure to offshore security operations, risk management, stakeholder coordination, develop professional skills in report writing, analysis, presentation, understand the interface between industry, government agencies and national security frameworks.
We are looking for candidates currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree with a CGPA above 3.50 in Maritime Studies/Maritime Technology/Nautical Science/Marine Engineering/Security Studies/ International Relations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required and any other proficiency in third languages will be an advantage.
The internship duration is a minimum of 6 months.
