DescriptionThis position is a member of the McDermott Sustainability Leadership Network that ensures effective collaboration across Business Line Operations, Projects, McDermott’s Global Sustainability function, program, and strategy. The Business Line Sustainability Lead is integrated with and works directly with business line leadership, operations management, and project teams to establish, promote, and drive sustainability initiatives in support of McDermott’s corporate sustainability goals and program. The role has a matrix reporting line to Corporate Sustainability to ensure that all sustainability activities are communicated and coordinated to align McDermott’s corporate program, strategy and goals
Responsibilities- • Support Subsea & Floating Facilities management in identifying and driving initiatives to communicate and achieve Environmental and Social Responsibility KPIs in alignment with McDermott’s corporate Sustainability program, goals, and strategy
• Prepare technical studies, reports, and sustainability plans incorporating GHG emissions, energy efficiency, circularity and life cycle assessments.
• Partner with corporate Sustainability in the ongoing assessment and development of processes, systems, and tools for efficient and consistent decision-making to embed Sustainability concepts and goals in operations and projects
• Provide sustainability guidance to commercial, proposal, operations and project teams, collaborating with corporate Sustainability
• Contribute to the development of McDermott’s strategy for decarbonization of Marine assets,
• Proactively engage and communicate with Corporate Sustainability
• Support the Sustainability Data Management team in ongoing measurement, tracking, analysis and continuous improvement of social and emissions data, to support reporting in accordance with ESRS, AASB, GHG Protocol, GRI, CDP and other applicable standards
• Champion for and input to McDermott’s annual Sustainability Report as requested
• Support business line management in driving area communication, awareness, and engagement around McDermott’s Sustainability strategy, activities, and goals
• Actively participate as requested in approved industry partnerships and collaborations to support McDermott’s sustainability program and goals
Qualifications- Min 8+ years, ideally within project management, fabrication/construction, and/or marine operations
- Relevant Engineering, BA/BS or graduate degree
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to work across time zones, occasionally outside of standard work hours
- English fluency required
- Project management, fabrication/construction, and/or marine operational experience preferred
- Interested in being part of a collaborated global team
