Your responsibilities:
Communicate the scope and purpose of releases, environment refreshes, release schedules, release status, and escalation of issues and risks, while ensuring that the quality and integrity of releases are maintained.
Plan and facilitate release and patching activities across development and testing, ensuring quality and timely deployments across all environments.
Assist in managing interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence, and ensure the integrity of releases, which can be measured.
Maintain environment consistency for all components across the full environment lifecycle from testing, external testing and Production environments.
Providing environment support across internal and external test environments including establishing and chairing war rooms with relevant support teams as required.
Conducting PIRs post release to ensure release quality issues are identified, documented and addressed.
Define and manage technical change control processes for release readiness criteria, including completing all implementation readiness artefacts and ensure all changes meet readiness criteria prior to deployment.
Drive continuous improvement in the release and environment management processes.
Coordination, release management and packaging across the CHESS project
Communication with vendors and internal delivery teams for the packaging of releases.
Must have:
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in planning, scheduling, testing, deploying, maintaining and controlling software releases across environments.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in managing others while co-ordinating Environment and Release Management activities across a portfolio within the CHESS team.
Experience and knowledge of release management principles, methodologies and tools.
Expertise should cover Environment and Release Management across a range of environments from legacy on-prem environments through to contemporary container-based Cloud workloads (AWS).
Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle, continuous delivery/continuous integration (CI/CD) principals.
Experience with software version control, branching strategy and dependency management.
Help streamline the release strategy, building towards a defined release cadence.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Architecture, Information Security, Finance, Risk, Compliance, QE&T.
Build out comprehensive KPIs, metrics, and SLAs to measure, performance and success rates of Releases,
Manage knowledgebase of standards, training material, etc.
Identify opportunities for cloud efficiency enhancements
across the organization.
Experience in highly regulated financial environments.
Worked in a cross-functional, agile delivery team.
Comfortable presenting at various forums and to senior stakeholders.

Passionate about Release Engineering
Understand challenges and trade-offs building, deploying, and running solutions in different environments.
Understanding of cloud-native frameworks and landscapes
