ABOUT THIS EPIC OPPORTUNITY
Epic’s Strategic Water Services team is expanding and is seeking a passionate Consultant Environmental Scientist (Water) to join us.
You will work across a variety of exciting contaminated land, approvals, and water projects, including soil, sediment, surface water and groundwater sampling.
In this role, you will engage with internal and external clients and subcontractors to plan and deliver high‑quality project outcomes while maintaining strong professional relationships.
The ideal candidate enjoys field work, is willing to travel to remote locations, and feels confident undertaking field investigations, data interpretation, and report preparations.
WHAT MAKES YOU EPIC
To be considered for this position you will need to possess the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification from a recognised institute in Environmental Science, Planning or related field
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role
- Evidence of field sampling skills (groundwater, surface water, sediment)
- Working knowledge of relevant QLD/NSW environmental legislation
- Experience in preparing written reports by including a high level of attention to detail using an objective driven focus
- Experience with aquatic ecology sampling and assessment desired but not essential
- A coxswain Grade 3 boat licence (QLD) is highly regarded
We would still encourage applicants if you meet 80% of the requirements, what is more important is that you are keen, willing to learn, and want to try the variety of water related projects.
