The Opportunity
The Executive Assistant to the President & Chief Executive Officer provides senior-level, highly confidential administrative and operational support to the President & CEO and serves as the central coordination point for the CEO’s office.
This role enables effective executive leadership, governance, and organizational alignment through the management of executive priorities, confidential materials, and corporate planning, budgeting, and reporting processes. The Executive Assistant plays a key role in supporting the APC Board of Directors and Board Committees, ensuring accurate documentation, effective communication, and timely coordination of governance materials and meetings.
Working closely with the Executive Team and key internal and external stakeholders—including government partners—the Executive Assistant exercises sound judgment, discretion, and initiative to proactively manage competing priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment, contributing to APC’s vision of being a world-class organization.

Required Education, Training, and Experience
- University/College Degree in Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience supporting senior executives and Boards, requiring a high degree of discretion, sound judgment, and independent decision-making.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience; where knowledge & experience at high-level administrative management/office procedures, understanding of HR principles, report preparation, and finance/accounting processes.
- Clearly demonstrated knowledge of software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of sound business practices, managing competing priorities successfully.
- Proven experience at high-level administrative support roles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong creative competencies, including the ability to design innovative process solutions that make APC’s administration more efficient and effective.
- A combination of Education and Experience may be considered.
