What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive inside sales plan to convert reservation holders and leads into confirmed vehicle orders in the lead-up to start of production and delivery.
- Partner closely with Digital Products and external vendors to define requirements and build the necessary tools, systems, and workflows for end‑to‑end sales pipeline management.
- Support the creation of a high‑performing inside sales and service function, contributing to processes, playbooks, and performance standards that deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Engage directly with prospective customers to understand their needs, communicate product features, and guide them through the ordering process.
- Provide feedback from customers and the sales and service pipeline to cross‑functional teams including Product, Delivery, Marketing, and Operations to improve tools, messaging, and journey design.
- Track, analyze, and report on key funnel metrics to optimize conversion, sales efficiency, and service engagement.
- Contribute to a customer‑first culture that reflects Scout’s values and elevates the ownership experience.
- Represent Inside Sales & Service in cross-functional discussions related to customer readiness, order management, and reservation strategy.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. This role may be remote to start but will transition to an in-office setting at the headquarters within 3-6 months of start date. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
- This role requires daily attendance in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- 5+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably with time spent managing or contributing to an inside sales organization within automotive, consumer tech, industrial equipment, or similar industries.
- Demonstrated success driving sales conversions through structured inside sales processes.
- Customer-first mindset with the ability to build trust, understand needs, and guide customers through complex transactions.
- Knowledge of the EV landscape, direct-to-consumer retail models, and emerging trends in digital vehicle sales.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with product, technical, or vendor teams to define tooling requirements or improve sales workflows.
- After the initial wave of the product launch, the ability to build systems and strategies that maximize customer lifetime value through the sale of service products, warranties, and other ownership offerings.
- Experience engaging lease-end customers to ensure loyalty and long-term ownership retention.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across teams and present insights clearly.
- Highly organized and self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
- Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $90,000.00 - $112,500.00
