POSITION: EPC Intern

POSITION SUMMARY:
Heelstone Renewable Energy is offering a paid internship in our EPC department that will focus on the procurement area, while also learning about engineering, project management, and construction of renewable energy projects, and exposing you to other core aspects of renewable energy. At the end of the internship, you will be empowered with the knowledge and skills that are highly desired by clean energy-focused businesses. This internship requires a commitment of 40 hours a week for 3 months in the Summer of 2026. This position is located in Durham, North Carolina.
Ideal candidates are self-starters with a passion for the renewable energy industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Sr. Procurement Manager with equipment purchases
- Learn about project schedules and budgets
- Learn how to read engineering drawings and apply knowledge to actual field work
- Assist construction site teams in the field with administrative needs as needed
SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALITIES
- High level of initiative and curiosity
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Background knowledge of renewable energy technologies
EDUCATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program or above at an accredited university
- Completed at least 2 years of study as an engineering major and be taking 300/3000 level engineering courses
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
