Overview
Scout Motors is seeking a Claims Analyst / Claims Advocate to join our Insurance & Risk Management team. In this role, you’ll manage and advocate for Scout Motors’ interests in all insurance-related claims, including property, casualty, liability, auto, and workers’ compensation. You’ll work closely with internal teams—Corporate, Production, Retail, and HR—as well as brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators to ensure timely reporting, accurate documentation, and effective resolution of claims.
What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all insurance claims.
- Report, track, and monitor claims from initiation to resolution.
- Advocate for Scout Motors in negotiations with carriers, brokers, and TPAs.
- Maintain a comprehensive claims database and provide regular reporting.
- Investigate incidents, gather documentation, and prepare claim summaries.
- Review claims for accuracy, coverage applicability, and compliance.
- Identify trends in claims data and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate claim status and outcomes to internal stakeholders across Corporate, Production, Retail, EHS and HR.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. This role may be remote to start but will transition to an in-office setting at the headquarters within 3-6 months of start date. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business administration, finance, or related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years in insurance claims handling or risk management (manufacturing or automotive preferred). CGL and WC experience a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Claims reporting and claims review expertise
- Knowledge of insurance carriers and insurance brokers
- Experience with RMIS (Risk Management Information Systems)
- Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is a plus
- Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $70,000.00 - $85,000.00
