Wind Turbine Technician

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective repairs on wind turbines
Conduct mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnostics
Work at height and in confined spaces as required, following strict HSE protocols
Complete detailed service reports, inspections, and operational logs
Support commissioning and retrofit upgrades as needed
Ensure compliance with site safety rules, environmental policies, and risk assessments
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and control centre teams to support operational uptime

Requirements

Recognised technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering
Previous experience working on wind turbines (onshore or offshore) is highly preferred
GWO certification (BST: Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling, etc.)
Understanding of SCADA systems and turbine control interfaces
Strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance
Full UK driving licence
Right to work in the UK
