Due to a growing project pipeline for 2026, we are expanding our technician pool and are looking for experienced professionals interested in long-term, project-based cooperation.
About the Role:
Join leading onshore wind farm construction projects in Scotland (United Kingdom). This vacancy is specifically targeted at Irish nationals, who have the right to live and work in the UK under the Common Travel Area (CTA).
We are looking for experienced wind turbine technicians, construction specialists, and skilled technical workers who want to apply their expertise to the installation and construction of wind turbines. Previous wind industry experience is welcome but not required; proven experience working on construction sites is essential.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Ground Preparation & Foundations
- Site preparation, concrete works, and foundation construction
- Support with crane setup, rigging activities, and load preparation
Tower Section Assembly (Ground to Top)
- Bolt tightening, flange alignment, preparation of sections for lifting
- Support of the ground crew during tower lifts (banksman, tag line handling)
Nacelle & Blade Handling
- Nacelle positioning and blade root preparation
- Use of lifting slings, blade handling, and hub alignment support
Cabling & Commissioning Support
- Installation of cable trays and assistance with cable pulling
- Basic termination preparation and handover checklists
Requirements:
Required construction experience, such as:
- Steel structure erection, scaffolding, crane operations / rigging
- Concrete works / formwork, heavy lifting projects
- Site supervision, banksman / slinger roles
Key Requirements:
- Irish citizenship (right to work in the United Kingdom under the CTA)
- Ability to obtain the required site authorisations and permits prior to site entry
- Wind turbine experience is an advantage but not mandatory
Training:
- GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and Basic Technical Training (BTT)
- Additional role-specific training required for specific site tasks
