Product Engineer, Hydrogen Storage
This position is responsible for the design, development, validation and release of new and/or current production, components, assemblies or mechanisms. It is the Product Engineer’s responsibility to address product development and design issues as required in a timely manner and with a quality focus. This Engineer will enable the development and integration of conformable composite pressure vessels for hydrogen storage applications.

Key Accountabilities:
Review and approve/certify proposals, test-plans, & test-reports by our Sales & Service teams for various customer jobs for correctness, quality, and adherence to standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop testing execution plans on larger and more complex projects for safe, successful (high quality), & efficient completion.
Build relationships with testing facilities by providing insightful technical solutions and solving complex testing challenges.
Stay abreast of related technology, industry standards, customer needs, and best-practices.
Develop and manage the training and up-skilling of our technicians in collaboration with the Power Systems training coordinator with targeted & measurable results.
Own overall responsibility of all material and product testing activities for broader team.
Systematize and grow engagement with key industry organizations (NETA, PEARL, and others) to stay in accreditation compliance, build relationships, and position PP&S for thought leadership in the industry.
Responsible for crafting component and product testing requirements based on industry guidelines, standards and best practices.
Regularly reports out to various internal/external stakeholders on testing status, deliverables and lessons learned.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent
5+ years of hydrogen systems and/or pressure vessel experience
Experience writing technical specifications, statement of requirements and other technical documentation
Experience integrating hydrogen systems into mobile and/or stationary applications
Experience with software packages such as Simulink, Matlab, National Instruments LabView, CAD design software, Engine management/calibration software and the MS Office suite of tools.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in Pressure Vessel design, testing, homologation activities, hydrogen preferred.
- Experience in Hydrogen Systems / Balance of Plant (BoP) integration into real-world applications
Highly professional with strong communication skills (oral and written) to interact with customers, work in teams, and create reports.
Strong decision making skills, with the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly.
Strong analytical ability, including statistical analysis skills.
Ability to quickly learn new company products, as well as maintain current knowledge of the market, new products, and aftermarket products.
Ability to prioritize and work multiple tasks to completion.
Ability to collaborate and work in team environment and to work independently or with little supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work as a “bridge” between prototype technicians on the shop floor and design, development and release engineers in the office.
