The Team | Global Retail
The Global Retail organization is end-to-end responsible for three retail segments: Private Individuals, Business Banking, and Private Banking & Wealth Management. Our strategy focuses on delivering a Superior Customer Experience and embedding Sustainability at the heart of everything we do.

Role and Responsibilities
This role supports the execution of ING’s Retail Financial Health strategy, contributing to one of the two strategic priorities of ING. It promotes financial well-being across all retail segments and assists them in setting ambition levels, mid- and short-term goals.
As Financial Health Consultant, you report to the Retail Center of Expertise Sustainability Lead. Your responsibilities include:
- Develop and refine ING Retail Financial Health Strategy in coordination with global segments and retail markets, aligned with ING’s overall priorities and targets.
- Establish consistent measurement frameworks for financial health across all retail markets.
- Identify and coordinate cross-country initiatives that improve customer financial resilience and literacy.
- Promote a financial health culture across the retail organization, embedding it in products, services, and customer journeys.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (Risk, Global Sustainability, Country leads, Branding & Communication, etc.) to ensure alignment and impact.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to financial well-being.
- Communicate insights effectively to business audiences, translating data into actionable strategies.
- Present Financial Health to various internal and external stakeholders

- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance, with 5–8 years in an international financial industry setting.
- Strong experience in retail banking and large-scale transformation.
- Understanding of core retail products and business models (mortgages, payments, investments, lending).
- Deep knowledge of financial health concepts and customer needs in this domain.
- Analytical skills to develop complex, non-standard analyses.
- Ability to foster a learning and empowering culture.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
