Position Overview: The General Manager - Sales
will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key
customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. This role
requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the automotive
industry, particularly in wire and harness systems, and a proven track record
of driving sales and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales
Strategy Development:
- Develop
and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives
and revenue targets.
- Identify
and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to
inform strategic planning.
- Identify
and pursue new business opportunities with automotive OEMs and other
potential clients.
- Develop
and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers and projects.
- Customer
Relationship Management:
- Build
and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and
stakeholders.
- Ensure
high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client needs and
concerns promptly.
- Lead
and mentor the sales and business development team, fostering a
high-performance culture.
- Provide
guidance and support to team members to achieve individual and team sales
targets.
- Prepare
and manage the sales and business development budget.
- Monitor
sales performance metrics and take corrective actions as necessary to
meet financial targets.
- Work
closely with other departments, including engineering, production, and
R&D, to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business
goals.
- Collaborate
with marketing to develop promotional activities and materials that
support sales efforts.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA
preferred.
- Minimum
of 20+ years of experience in a senior sales or business development role
within the automotive industry, with a focus on wire and harness systems
or any other relevant industry.
- Demonstrated
success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong
knowledge of the automotive OEM market and industry trends.
- Excellent
leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability
to travel as required.
