Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Civil Construction & Environmental Engineering is seeking to hire a part-time Lecturer to teach CE 5330 (Structural Steel Design II), for the Spring 2026 semester.
This would involve preparing lecture notes, attending class and delivering lectures, being available to meet with students when lectures are delivered, preparing and grading homework and quizzes for lectures, and working with other faculty as needed.
Candidates are expected to have an excellent record of achievement in teaching or engineering practice in civil, construction, or environmental engineering or a closely related discipline. They are expected to exhibit excellent communication skills and share in our commitment to achieving excellence.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science
- 5 years of experience in professional engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience
- Prior experience with AISC Specification equations
Department/Program & College Description:
The CCEE Department offers B.S. degree programs in civil engineering, civil engineering with environmental emphasis, construction engineering, and environmental engineering, plus M.S., MEng, and Ph.D. graduate degree programs in civil engineering and maintains externally funded research of more than $15 million annually.
