A reputable group operating within the water sustainability sector is seeking an experienced and detail -oriented Bookkeeper to join their finance team at group level. This half -day morning(in office) role will support a growing group of five entities. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial records, manage full bookkeeping functions, and support compliance across multiple companies.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>
Manage the full bookkeeping function up to trial balance and balance sheet.
<\/li>Maintain accurate records in Sage Accounting and Sage HR, ensuring timely reconciliations.
<\/li>Oversee debtors and creditors, including onboarding, invoicing, reconciliations, and payments.
<\/li>Manage payroll, statutory submissions (PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201, EMP501), and filing of supporting payroll documents.
<\/li>Prepare and submit VAT returns, corporate tax provisional and annual returns via SARS eFiling.
<\/li>Support intercompany billing, reconciliations, and reporting across multiple entities.
<\/li>Maintain the fixed asset register and insurance schedule.
<\/li>Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and management packs.
<\/li>Assist with year -end close, audit packs, and compliance with IFRS for SMEs.
<\/li>Ensure all records are maintained on SharePoint in a structured and accessible format.

Requirements<\/h3>
Minimum Requirements<\/b>
<\/p>
Diploma or Degree (preferred) in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
<\/li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in a full -function bookkeeping role, ideally across multiple entities.
<\/li>Proven ability to manage books to trial balance and balance sheet.
<\/li>Experience with Sage Accounting and Sage HR; knowledge of Xero or QuickBooks advantageous.
<\/li>Experience with SARS eFiling (VAT, EMP201, EMP501, corporate tax returns).
<\/li>Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs advantageous.
<\/li>Strong Excel, organisational, and communication skills.
<\/li>High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.
