We’re supporting a leading renewable energy player to appoint a Senior Solar PV Electrical Project Engineer<\/b> on a 12 -month fixed -term contract. Role is South Africa site based with travel. Start: ASAP. Only open to south africans

Basic responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/p>
Lead the electrical scope from detailed design â commissioning â COD.
<\/p><\/li>
Produce/review SLDs, stringing, cable sizing, earthing & lightning, MV and protection coordination.
<\/p><\/li>
Manage grid connection (utility liaison, self -build works), compliance, SCADAintegration.
<\/p><\/li>
Compile ERs/specs/BoQs; review OEM datasheets (inverters/transformers/switchgear/relays); resolve TQs/CRs.
<\/p><\/li>
Oversee FAT/SAT, site QA/QC, performance testing, as -builts and O&M handover.
<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
Requirements:<\/b>
<\/p>
BEng/BSc Electrical Engineering<\/b> (essential); PrEng/PrTech<\/b> advantageous.
<\/p><\/li>
10+ yrs solar PV with strong MV design & protection;
<\/p><\/li>
Proficient in PVSyst<\/b> & AutoCAD<\/b>; a plus.
<\/p><\/li>
Solid knowledge of SANS, NRS IEC<\/b> and utility/grid -code processes.
<\/p><\/li>
Strong stakeholder communication; valid driver’s licence; willing to travel.
