About the Role:
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and analysis of various structures, ensuring they are safe, stable, and sustainable. Your expertise will be essential in developing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, contributing to the successful completion of projects. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to create detailed plans and specifications that meet both client requirements and regulatory standards. The end result of your work will be structures that not only meet functional needs but also enhance the built environment. Your contributions will directly impact the safety and longevity of the infrastructure in our communities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
- Experience with advanced structural design software and tools.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural analysis and design for various projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Prepare detailed structural calculations and design documentation to support project specifications.
- Utilize software tools such as STAAD and Finite Element Analysis to model and analyze structural systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of structural designs with architectural and MEP systems.
- Review and approve shop drawings and construction documents to ensure compliance with design intent and standards.
Skills:
The required skills in structural analysis and design will be utilized daily to ensure that all projects are structurally sound and compliant with safety standards. Proficiency in software like STAAD and Finite Element Analysis will enable you to create accurate models and simulations, which are critical for effective decision-making. Your ability to perform structural calculations will support the development of detailed design documentation, ensuring clarity and precision in project execution.
