PositionSummary:
The BESS Advanced Analytics Platform Manager is part of theengineering team responsible for leading a team developing and delivering utility-scale energy storage solutions in the globally.
BESSAdvancedAnalyticsPlatformManagerisresponsibleforleadingateamperformingin-depthanalysisof performance data from battery storage systems. This position is at the crossroads of leadership, battery energystoragesystems(BESS),engineering,anddataanalytics.Thiscandidateisfamiliarwithpowersystems, utility generation, protection, and transmission systems, as well as modern industrial networks and utility
The candidate is responsible for defining the overall BESS data analysis system, including developing technical requirements and product testing, defining the product vision, and working closely with other departments to ensure project success. The BESS Data Analytics Manager has detailed knowledge of current battery energy storage technologies and is experienced in large data processing, analysis and meaningful presentation of results.

•Executethetechnicalstrategy androadmapforBESSperformanceanalyticssoftware development, aligned with the organization's business goals and objectives.

•Drivediscussionswithtechnicalleaderstoevaluateandselectappropriatetechnologies,tools,and frameworks to support the development process and meet project requirements.

RelatedExperience:
•At least10yearsofhands-ondomainexperience performinganalyticsforsolarPV orbattery energy storage.
•ExperiencewithAzureandAWScloudinfrastructure.
•ExperiencewithcontainerizedandclustermanagementsuchasKubernetesandDocker.
•ProficiencyinPythonprogramming,JupyterNotebookenvironment,andSQLlanguage.
•ProficiencyinR programming
•Experience with Reporting platforms and generating PDFs from code using programs like LaTeX and reportlabs.
•Experiencewithrelationalandnon-relationaldatabasessuchasPostgreSQL,Influx,andCassandra
•Experienceusingmachinelearningfordataprocessing.
•Strongcomputerskillswithin-depthfamiliaritywithbigdataanalytics.
PersonalQualifications:
- Bachelor’sorMaster’sdegreeinEngineering,DataScience,orarelatedfield.Anadvanceddegree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- 10+ years of experienceas a Data Analyst or in asimilar role within the energy storage or relatedindustry.
- Excellent projectmanagement skillswithaproventrack recordofleadingcomplex projectsfrom concept to completion.
- Strongproblem-solving,criticalthinking,creativethinking,anddecision-makingabilities.
- Strongstakeholdermanagement skillswithademonstratedability to deliverandfollow upon large-scale projects on time and within budget.
