Team/division description
As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development of powertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants, and for planning and research of new European technologies. Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity.
Your project
You will be joining the Powertrain Battery Design Department, responsible for the development of battery pack components. Typically, the battery pack are made of several components (casing, busbars, connectors, etc.) that require several development processes (design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing.). Together with 1 experienced team member, you will work on battery pack design process including:
- Design a battery pack according to vehicle requirement and developing a first model using CAD.
- Breakdown the assembly in the different components and perform detailed design activity considering part requirement, specification, assembly and manufacturing constraints
- Perform design validations by performing reviews and validations with different stakeholders
- Support for battery pack benchmarking
