For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $80,640 - $120,960 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Position: Systems Application Engineer II
Location: Horsham, PA
What will you do?
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- This position is typically held by an individual who 2-4 years’ in the industry and has intermediate knowledge of Networking, Security Systems and Cybersecurity. This position is responsible for providing high quality programming per specifications, standards, budgets and schedules, as well as participating on a team to design, install and security management systems. This role is able to navigate through networking systems and make minor modifications to network switches & basic/intermediary troubleshooting of a network. This employee also has a basic understanding of Cybersecurity policies and how to perform their tasks while maintaining the deployed systems Cybersecurity compliant.
Who will you report to?
- This employee typically works under daily supervision of a Project manager and reports into an Engineering Software Manager, or IT Services Manager.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Strong familiarity with security, access controls and video management system hardware.
- Capability of physical troubleshooting of access controls and video management systems hardware.
- Understand how to read and review specifications, drawings, and sequences.
- Have an understanding of basic networking fundamentals that includes configuration of IP devices.
- Be able to read, write, modify simple programming and assist others in start- up of system equipment at a basic level with mentor support.
- Adhere to standards and best practices for software/network/cybersecurity engineering.
- Ability to install and configure security software platforms onto configured servers/workstations.
- Basic understanding of developing and programming graphics for access control platforms.
- Assist the PM in reviewing contract documentation, sequences of operations, and commissioning documents throughout the project life cycle.
- Manage communications with customers, subcontractors, engineers, and project managers efficiently so that they are addressed in a timely manner while balancing work assignments.
- Participate in basic field startup and commissioning efforts.
- Assist in job close out by providing final record drawings and documentation.
- Proficiency in the usage of Studio 360, Configuration Sheet and any other applicable engineering tools
- Remote Support: Complete understanding of remote connectivity methods (Bomgar, etc.) including VPN software when applicable, including accessing and updating password vaults.
