The Geography and the Environment Department will accept applications throughout the year. When a teaching vacancy arises, we will consider the submitted applications in an effort to staff the course.

Position Summary:
The Department of Geography and the Environment invites applications for an adjunct position to teach an undergraduate course, Economics and the Environment, for students with no prior course experience in economics. Possible course content could be broad and survey a variety of topics or focus on specific relevant areas such as, Energy, Corporate Sustainability, Climate Change, Natural Resources, and/or Food Systems, depending on the instructor’s expertise and interests.

Duties and Responsibilities:
This will be a 3-hour per week course, scheduling of course time is flexible. Teaching and related duties will vary with the specific course being taught. Initial course would be offered in Spring 2020.
Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Environmental Economics/Studies, Environmental Resource Economics, Corporate Sustainability or Environmental Sustainability, or a closely related discipline is required and/or candidates with suitable professional / practitioner experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience preferred.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
Course may be scheduled in the evenings, if preferred.
