Position Summary: | The Program Director is a grant funded position working under the direction of the Mid-Atlantic’s Center for Children’s Health and the Environment Co-Directors and Principal Investigators. This is a front-line position that is the first point of contact for the Center for physicians, nurses, public health professionals and the community at large for all inquiries and consultations. The individual in this position will be responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating programs and activities of the Mid-Atlantic Center, as well as the financial management of all sponsored projects including but not limited to establishing budgets, reviewing and reconciling expenses, and manages staffing and resource allocation. The Program Director will have supervisory responsibilities for all consultants and student research assistants related to this grant. In collaboration with Center Co-Directors, s/he successfully integrates work output, reports, and services with other internal departments and external federal funding organizations. This position will ensure compliance with regulations and policies set forth by Centers for Disease Control, (CDC), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) related to grant activities.
